Bernardo Polanco claims Salvadorean Liga MB Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced Dominican Rep. Bernardo Polanco (189-1994) put on an amazing game in the last round for San Salvador BC and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 32-year old had a double-double of 45 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Ahuachapan (#10, 0-2) with 23-point margin 109-86. San Salvador is placed at 8th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. San Salvador is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Polanco had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be San Salvador's top player in his first season with the team. Polanco has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 37.0ppg. Polanco is in league's top in assists (5th best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 73.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another San Salvador's star - young Colombian guard Yovany Del Rosario (185-G-2002). Del Rosario impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 20 rebounds. Let's wait for the next round. Del Rosario is a newcomer at San Salvador and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.5ppg (#5). He also registered 20.0 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Daylon Potts (196-G) of second-ranked San Miguel. Potts showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 21 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. He was a key player of San Miguel, leading his team to a 89-76 easy win against Santa Tecla (#11, 0-2). San Miguel has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Potts also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Potts has a great season in El Salvador. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 20.5rpg (2nd best). Potts attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
